Letter to a dear friend on Holocaust Denial
My dear Friend ...
I've had lot's of time to think on my drive home. There's so much I would have wanted to discuss with you with regards to our interesting conversation over brunch, so when I arrived home I did some quick research for you. I realize that the internet is often questionable as an objective reference source, however, my habit is to cross-reference. In this case I could probably spend uninterrupted months sifting through the data! Fortunately, this is not a new issue and many reliable scholars have walked this road. Quick and fruitful searches gave good answers to your questions re: crematoriums/fuel/ashes, etc. ... (I've pasted an excerpt at the bottom).
Here is also an excellent synopsis with regards to Holocaust Denial (something that is becoming very prevalent again, even from some surprising sources) ... which is indeed the issue if the overwhelming amount of empirical evidence is not accepted. It is however good to ask questions and receive answers ... I think you'll find this interesting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holocaust_denial
Something else I should add that's interesting. "Mein Kampf" the book written by Adolph Hitler, has as it's foundational premise that the world was secretly being run and controlled by a conspiracy of Jewish bankers. He believed (not a new idea at the time) that the Jewish people as a race were inherently cunning and evil, even genetically, and thus were a threat to the "world". It was this premise as well as racial purity based on a philosophy of "eugenics" that later fuelled the Nazi agenda. This idea of a Jewish conspiracy became very popular after WW1 particularly as an explanation for the great German loss and the political, social, economic upheaval it was going though. It was not an uncommon thought (very popular in the press) in the Americas as well as other European nations at the time for similar reasons.
It's fascinating to note that one of the major issues that Hitler had was with Judaism (and subsequently Christianity), in particular the laws of Moses (as he put it "the Jew's code of ethics") ... he wanted them to be literally expunged from the German consciousness ... especially: "you shall not kill" ... as Hitler believed that it (killing) was a legitimate and necessary way to benefit humanity. He also mocked the common Jewish goal (Zionism) of returning to Israel (a nation that he would not recognize, historically or as a future concept, thus only referring to it as "Palestine").
He especially thought that it was much more humane to "cull" the weak, crippled and diseased rather than have them be "supported" by society. He considered weak, by definition, any human not willing or able to fight for his/her survival (or patch of land). That was of course true of the "racially impure" as well, especially Jews and Blacks, as he, and many others (not just in Germany) supported the idea of a pure master race (supermen) that was to be the logical conclusion of human evolution.
A common tactic that Hitler and his propagandists used was what's called "revisionist history", that is they literally rewrote historical fact to support their ideas. The young were then indoctrinated from an early age with false history as well as with a new humanist "code of ethics". Also, one of the first things the Nazi's did when in power was to strip German Jew's of their citizenship - that is - take away their identity and their "homeland", something that had already been in progress for some time in the east, especially in Poland and Russia.

Another interesting point ... no one seems to be interested in questioning the Stalinist and Maoist "purges" ... surely the bodies of over 30 million people would be hard to hide?
Some interesting answers (one source) to questions originally posed by Ernst Zuendel (deported from Canada back to Germany for hate crimes in the 80s - he's now in prison where he belongs):
Cremation:
- Many Jewish survivors of the "death camps" say they saw bodies being piled up in pits and burned. How much gasoline would have to be used to perform this?
- Can bodies be burned in pits?
- "Holocaust" authors claim that the Nazis were able to cremate bodies in about 10 minutes. How long does it take to incinerate one body according to professional crematory operators?
- Why did the concentration camps have crematory ovens?
- Given a 100% duty cycle of all the crematoria in all the camps in German-controlled territory, what is the maximum number of corpses it would have been possible to incinerate during the entire period such crematoria were in operation?
- Can a crematory oven be operated 100% of the time?
- How much ash is left from a cremated corpse?
- If six million people had been incinerated by the Nazis, what happened to the ashes?
- Do Allied wartime photos of Auschwitz (during the period when the "gas chambers" and crematoria were supposed to be in full operation) reveal gas chambers?
There is so much more data from many diverse sources ...
In the end, I would think that no matter what position a thinking person would take ... one would have to conclude that it is true that the Jewish people have had an incredible impact on the world down through the centuries and as well, have been incredibly mistreated ... There has been no other people on the face of the planet so maligned and mistreated (out of the many groups that have, i.e. American Indians to Eritreans and the non-Arab/Muslim Sudanese) in such a wholesale and consistent manner down through the ages. The question I would ask is ... Why?? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_antisemitism
Hope you don't mind this ... I actually enjoyed "slapping" these thoughts together ... I'm actually a big fan of the study of history.
Love,
Chris
