A Walk in The Kingdom - July 3

I guess I must have been somewhat keyed up ... I set my alarm for 7am and woke up ... I mean really woke up ... at 5:50am. I got up, bla, bla, bla ... sent a shirt back through the dryer and suddenly realized that I was up way too early!!

Back to bed ... one hour of sleep is precious considering how ridiculous my sleep habits are normally (I use the word lightly). Last night was no exception ... in bed by a nice early 3am so that I would be bright eyed and bushy tailed for the next day ... big day. Sometimes I think my brain goes into hibernate mode after 11pm.6:50am, out of bed like a shot (it would be good if I could duplicate this during a regular work week). Alarm clock preemptively turned off. Ready go!

Father says ...
"Pack the t-shirt, you won't be needing it under your short-sleeve, it's going to be hot, one shirt will do".
Down on my knees on the bathroom mat I'm just grateful before Him ... "Oh Father, I'm so honored to be Your son. I'm so glad to hear Your voice. I just want to hear Your voice."

Out of the shower ... dressed, downstairs .... close the suitcase. READY! A knock on the door, the Vincents are here. Stephen arrives. Juan Valdez is ground and brewed ... only the best ... drink some juice (just realized that I forgot to take my vitamins) ... little chat ... I tell them about the most unbelievable development: I'm a Psalm Drummer leader on the 15th? In front of 80 drummers ... I still feel like vomiting just thinking about it ...

Van loaded, off we go. At the Airport ... 77 pound behemoth of a suitcase goes through the check ... ATA case goes through the check ... wait who's working security? None other than Kathy Rich! How fitting that an intercessor/worshiper would inspect my luggage. Thank you God.

Check in ... oh thank You Lord ... baggage checked all the way through to Frankfurt from North Bay. "Window seat please." Yes. Seat 02F.

Goodbyes ... blessings. Mark handed me a German New Testament ... how fitting! Hug line ... awesome! (Note: Just found 10 Marks in the bible ... thanks Mark! I would think one is enough ... )

Sitting in the gate lounge waiting to board AC Jazz flight 7772 to Toronto ... contemplating so many things. Conversation with the man next to me on his way to Vancouver... wait, who do I see through the glass? Is that Pastor George Wilson going through security? Huh? Isn't that also the youth pastor from St. Brice's and his wife as well?

Indeed. It is George ... who comes over and sits right next to me. How crazy is it that he is on the same flight? He's heading for a CCCC leadership meeting in London. We chat ... and walk onto the tarmac together. Now boarding ... George is ahead of me ... I turn the corner and .... George is sitting in 02E! We've been seated by the Holy One of Israel ... together. WOW!

We chatted for the whole flight ... and then as we began our decent to Toronto, George prayed for me - words of blessing and encouragement for the journey ahead. So cool.

We walked together to his next flight, and as we reached his gate I took the opportunity to snap a photo ....

...... and then the Lord spoke through George again ...Father wants me to know how special I am to Him ..YAHOO! You are the best Dad! .... He (the Lord) is also going to surprise me ... YIKES ... I'm already so surprised, can I take more without another heart adjustment (both kinds)? Oh God, anything You want ... how can I resist YOU?

Another blessing from a spiritual father. Thank You God.

Off to the international gates ... take a bus to the old terminal ... empty, walk the length twice ... empty ... I guess there aren't any flights for another 3 hours or so ... I have a 7 hour wait. Back to Terminal 1 ... take a nice walking tour ... send some mail ... walk some more ... wait who's that?... Pastor Ian & Ros McLean. What a surprise! They're on the same flight - Psalm 47:1 - to Frankfurt!! How crazy is that? They're on their way to Italy ...

Heading out of the security zone ... check in at Lufthansa ... "Window seat please." Yes. Seat 33A. Back through security ... not anywhere near as stringent as North Bay ... still had coins in my pocket, they're not interested in opening anything. Didn't even have to get my camera out.... back to some more writing, mail .... before I know it, it's 4pm, time to head back to the terminal ... this time the bus is full .... so is the terminal ....at the gate I try looking for more WI-FI networks ... low signal, can't use it ... there's Ian & Ros ... more chat about Kingdom things ... we talk about heavenly flow, strongholds, worship, the arts ... encouraging words.

Get on the huge 747 ... will I get my violin into a compartment? No problem says the pleasant German accent .... nice seat! No seat in front and I can stretch my legs. ... taxi ... take-off and .... set my watch to German time .... just after midnight ... we're in the air climbing, climbing .... and ... level out at 40,000 feet ... ahhh ... my first dinner since Monday .... very tasty stuffed pasta with gazpacho salad and some red wine.

Sunset over Labrador ....
